I can now once again help sellers who wish to sell their home and rent it back† and you get the added protection of selling to a company regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and licensed to operate sale and rent back schemes.

Before July 2009 I bought properties and rented them back to the original owners. I was and am still an ethical landlord with many happy rent back tenants, and I was featured in articles in The Sunday Times and The Big Issue.

There were however, many rogue operators and the Government decided that the market needed regulation. There were many Sale & Rent Back operators who were not acting in the best interests of sellers and tenants so legislation was needed. In July 2009 the Financial Services Authority began regulating all aspects of selling your home and renting it back. Like all new legislation it takes time for the dust to settle and for everyone to understand how it works.

Although I no longer purchase properties myself and then rent them back (I do purchase vacant properties!) I can now pass details of anyone in England, Scotland or Wales who wishes to sell and rent back† their home to an FSA regulated firm who are licensed to carry out SARB purchases.

I am not allowed to give you direct advice or influence your decision† but I can make sure that you are put in touch with an FSA regulated rent back company who offer this service.

By selling your home to an FSA regulated Sale and Rent Back company you can be assured that your interests will be looked after as the regulations from the FSA are heavily in favour of protecting you both as the seller and when you become a tenant.
