Can I sell my home with using an estate agent? I get asked that question so often that I thought I’d better write something to help you think about the benefits of NOT using an estate agent to sell your flat or house.
Selling a house is usually an expensive and complicated process that’s why estate agents make thousands or even tens of thousands of pounds on a single sale.
But when I buy your house there aren’t any commissions to pay. And you certainly won’t have to tolerate dozens of (someteimes scary) strangers tramping through your home and poking through your drawers.
My name is Gary. My company is associated with a group of private investors. We buy a number of houses each month in every price range, all direct from sellers who get paid more for their property than if they sold via an estate agents.
Unlike your estate agent who lists dozens of houses a week and hopes they’ll sell in 3-6 months, I’m as serious about buying your home as you are about selling it. When you are a seller with a house for sale that makes a HUGE difference.
When you list with an agent and sell that way it usually takes months to complete the sale, during which time guess who’s paying the mortgage, can’t move to your new job, can’t get in to your new home, etc?

What about those sites on the internet that list houses for sale by owner? you may ask. You can certainly try, after all who knows more about your home that you do. But consider this. How many houses have you bought and sold in your lifetime? Two or three, maybe? You haven’t had to solve even a fraction of the problems that can appear before completion takes place.
Buying a house, especially in today’s recession market, is a big decision for any buyer and every day sellers tell me of buyers who have pulled out at the last minute, leaving them back at square one after months of thinking their house is sold.
