Repossession Order
If you have received a repossession order against your home you could be days away from being evicted from your property.
Once you have been to court and the judge has granted a Reposession Order, if you have not been able to keep up with your agreed payments your mortgage lender has the right to seek possession by Eviction or Possession Warrant – without a further hearing.
Possession Order.
This is where your lender has been granted the right to possession of the property after a fixed period, normally 28 days.
This outcome is common where the judge has seen no attempt by you to make contact with the lender, the lender’s solicitor or the courts, or where the judge deems that you simply cannot afford to meet regular payments or make a reasonable contribution to paying off the arrears.
But you can act now to avoid repossession and stop the repossession order from being carried out.
We can talk to your lender and often make arrangements to delay the repossession order (called a suspension order) until you and your family have sorted out your options.
One of these options can be to sell your home and rent it back. This can avoid you and your family from losing your home.
